Korean startup Alyce Healthcare offers AI-driven personal trainer solution ‘Weelo’ – KoreaTechDesk

Fitness apps and online exercise videos have gained popularity like never before. Most people are unable to go to gyms or outdoors for exercising because of the COVID-19 outbreak. Korean startup Alyce Healthcare has developed an Artificial Intelligence-based fitness solution called Weelo, like a personal trainer on demand.

Virtual training for everyone -anywhere, anytime

Alyce Healthcare specializes in providing AI rehabilitation solutions. It operates as a virtual coach that performs rehab exercises on any screen, including mobile devices, TVs, and computers. Based on a machine learning motion tracking system without any additional devices, Alyce Health provides proper error corrections analyzing user’s motions in real-time. It offers personalized exercise recommendations to reduce daily pain for the users. The AI ​​trainer automatically recommends an exercise routine that suits the user every day and provides real-time feedback comments on exercise movements using a machine learning-based motion analysis engine.

With Alyce’s health solution, users don’t need to worry about browsing through the internet for correct exercise videos or travel to any gym or center. The user can schedule the workouts as per their time and availability. Alyce Healthcare’s revenue model is subscription-based and costs only $16.9 per month. Alyce Healthcare is offering B2C service in the beta version but wants to expand to B2G and API marketplace offers in the future.

Alyce Healthcare was launched in 2018 to provide solutions for those with musculoskeletal pain neck, shoulder, or low back. Alyce Healthcare and has offices and subsidiaries in the region. The startup was selected as a Top5 Korean product at CES 2019 and is expected to grow further in the future. The rapid growth of the non-face-to-face service market due to COVID 19 has increased the value of service like Weelo that enables correct exercise at home with AI personal trainers’ help.

Alyce Healthcare signs MoU with Companoid Labs 

Companoid Labs, a company centered on UX research, has signed an investment (amount undisclosed) and strategic business agreement with Alyce Healthcare. The strategic MOU is for the CIC (Companion in Company) group, an internal and external startup company building system of Companoid Labs, which aims to create a startup based on innovative UX design and grow it into a next-generation company. It is a system where entrepreneurs and members work together by forming a team. Companoid Labs will promote UX research and design for the ‘Weelo’ service together with Alyce Healthcare through CIC Group and secure related UX patents.
