Ericsson Supports Advance Global Healthcare Solutions in Singapore


The National University Health System (NUHS) and Sahlgrenska University Hospital have partnered with AstraZeneca, Ericsson, and Business Sweden to launch the Global Health Innovation Network (GHIN).


This strategic initiative aims to drive global healthcare innovation by identifying, implementing, and scaling advancements in screening, diagnosis, and monitoring technologies. The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing at the Singapore-Sweden Royal Business Forum. The signing was witnessed by Ms Miriam Söderström, Sweden’s State Secretary for Healthcare, and Ms Lai Wei Lin, Singapore’s Permanent Secretary for Policy and Development. The event was also attended by Singapore’s Minister for Health, Mr Ong Ye Kung.

GHIN represents the first concrete initiative stemming from the government-to-government MoU on healthcare innovation signed between Singapore and Sweden at the same forum. By uniting expertise from healthcare, pharmaceutical, and communication industries, GHIN will accelerate the implementation of innovative healthcare solutions, a global challenge in advancing medical innovation.


NUHS and Sahlgrenska University Hospital will jointly provide clinical expertise, hospital resources, mentoring, and research collaboration to drive the development and scaling of novel healthcare technologies. AstraZeneca, Ericsson, and Business Sweden will bring their strengths in pharmaceutical innovation, technological connectivity, and project management to support this mission.
