Fitness: Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar advocates fitness and affordable healthcare for progress | Hubballi News
Hubballi: “I am concerned and worried that some hospitals claim to be five-star hospitals. What we need are five-star facilities and affordable treatment. ‘Health’ and ‘Education’ are service sectors. They are not for gains, they are methods to give back to society,” said vice-president Jagdeep Dhankhar.
Speaking at the inauguration of EYESIRI, the second ophthalmology centre of MM Joshi Eye Institute in Hubballi on Friday, he said, “Hospitals are not commercial institutes.We need five star facilities and affordable treatment.”
“The path to India’s progress is through fitness. To realise the dream of a developed India by 2047, we have to move towards good health services and technological advancement. If you can’t help yourself, you won’t be able to help others. For this, it is very important to remain healthy,” he said.
“Nationalism is our dharma, we all are proud Indians, we should not compromise with nationalism, we should always put the nation first. There is no option,” said Vice-president Jagdeep Dhankhar.
He lauded a series of programmes being implemented by the Narendra Modi government in the past ten years such as Swachh Bharat, building toilets, Ujwala, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Ayushman Bharat are steps towards improving the health of people, especially women, he said. Advancement in the health sector has a positive impact on the country’s economy as patients from different parts of the world visit India for treatment, he noted.
